Manufacturing vs Sourcing Data on #Amazon – What's The Difference?
If you're using Retail Analytics in Vendor Central, you may know that Amazon offers two data views:
Manufacturing and Sourcing data.
But what's the difference?
The 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 is only available for manufacturer brands on Amazon. It shows the aggregated sales and inventory performance of your brand, regardless from where or whom the products were sourced.
This includes sales from:
- Distributors
- Wholesalers
- Cross-border sourced inventory
The 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 reflects all metrics that relate directly to your account's performance. It only includes the sales and inventory that Amazon has sold and sourced from your account's inventory.
Note that both data views exclusively display the performance of vendors. No 3P sales are included in either data view.
