Amazon's new AI-driven "Project P.I." is hoping to help customers receive products in perfect condition. Aiming for Less returns by preventing defective products from shipping, Amazon is also cutting down on packaging waste, and carbon emissions.

How it works:

-The program scans products for defects like damage or incorrect sizes/colors.
-It then Isolates defective items to prevent them from reaching customers.
-Lastly, it Helps identify root causes of issues for upstream solutions.

Project P.I. is expanding to sites in 2024 and is another great example of AI being integrated into operational processes for efficiency.
