We bribed them—got what we wanted, and then ended up paying nothing.
All playing by the rules.
Here’s how we bid on storage space at FBA to increase our Extra Large storage capacity (for our pallet ASINs)
Started at 100 cubic feet.
Bid $0.35/cubic foot on 2500 worth of storage space for the month on March. Amazon accepted our bid at $0.25–not sure why they let us bid down but it makes sense if it’s the same as PPC.
Now we had to get the stuff to FBA and deliver.
Because we sold enough to validate our claim for needing the space, Amazon gave us a performance credit that exceeded our reservation fees.
And boom —we’re free and clear.
But the best part is that now we have 10k worth of storage space for Extra Large.
There’s no handbook on this stuff…sometimes you just have to jump and figure it out and then tell your story.
Have you used the capacity manager like this?
